Nagpur: An unidentified man was killed in a hit-and-run accident on the road between Baidyanath Chowk and the Central Bus Stand under the jurisdiction of Ganeshpeth Police Station in Nagpur.
The incident took place around 4.30 pm on February 5, 2026, when the victim, estimated to be around 35 years old, was walking along the road and was hit by an unknown vehicle. The impact left him critically injured and unconscious. Locals rushed him to a medical hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment.
Police stated that the identity of the deceased is yet to be established. The man is described as dark-complexioned, with a round face, strong build and approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall. He had black hair, sparse beard and moustache, and was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans. Notably, the name “Jitendra” is tattooed on both of his hands.
Ganeshpeth Police have registered an accidental death report based on initial information. Police have appealed to the public to contact Ganeshpeth Police Station if anyone recognises the deceased or if relatives are searching for a missing person matching the description. Further investigation is underway.
