Nagpur: An unidentified labourer, believed to be around 40 years old, died after a wall collapsed on him during house demolition work in the Yashodhara Nagar area of Nagpur.
According to police, the incident occurred around 11 am on July 5 while repair work was underway at a house near Kanji House Chowk, Shahu Mohalla, Nagoba Wadi, behind Siddharth School.
The labourer sustained serious injuries when the wall being demolished suddenly collapsed. He was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police said the deceased had been hired from a daily wage labour point at Rani Durgavati Chowk. His identity has not yet been established.
The deceased was wearing a grey T-shirt and black full-length trousers. Yashodhara Nagar Police have appealed to anyone who can identify the deceased to contact the police station.
An accidental death has been registered, and further inquiry is underway.
