Nagpur: Two 19-year-old youths lost their lives in a fatal accident on the Kachipura–Bajajnagar road after a speeding Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle crashed into a row of cement polls on Sunday night.

The incident occurred between 9:45 PM and 10:10 PM on February 16, 2026, near Dana Pani Saoji Hotel. The motorcycle, which did not have a number plate, was allegedly being ridden recklessly at high speed.

The deceased have been identified as rider Yug Vishal Chandkapure and pillion rider Rudra Shashikant Somkunwar, both residents of Ramdaspeth, Kachipura.

According to police, the bike brushed past a pedestrian girl, causing the rider to lose control, after which the motorcycle hit ten cement polls on the footpath. Both youths sustained severe injuries and were rushed to Wockhardt Hospital and later Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared them dead.

Bajajnagar Police have registered a case under Sections 106(1) and 281 of the BNS. Further investigation is underway.
