Nagpur, November 04, 2025 - Nagpur News
Nagpur: Pratapnagar police have booked two men for cheating Muthoot FinCorp by pledging fake gold ornaments to obtain loans worth ₹10.70 lakh.
The accused, identified as Rohan Rajendra Yadav of Ramnagar and Vinay Ganesh Nagpure of Yashodhara Nagar, had mortgaged imitation jewellery at Muthoot FinCorp’s Hingna branch. Suspicion arose when both failed to repay the loan within the stipulated period.
Upon internal verification, branch officials discovered that the ornaments were merely gold-plated. Based on a complaint lodged by the branch manager, police have registered a case of cheating and launched a probe into the fraudulent transaction.
