Three Arrested with 55 Grams of MD Drugs Under ‘Operation Thunder’ in Mankapur, Nagpur

Nagpur: In a major action under Operation Thunder, the NDPS team of Nagpur Police arrested three persons from the Manakapur area for possession of narcotic substances. The operation was conducted between 2:30 am and 4:10 am on November 11, 2025, near Raj Apartment in New Mankapur.


The arrested accused have been identified as —


  1. Nawab Tohee Jamshed Khan (31), resident of New Manakapur, Nagpur
  2. Ayush Amrit Meshram (21), resident of Chetna Apartment, Malkapur
  3. Rohit Ravindra Singh (26), resident of Gayatri Enclave, Netaji Society, Friends Colony, Gittikhadan



During a patrol in the Manakapur police station area, officers noticed three suspects behaving suspiciously near their vehicles. Upon searching them in the presence of witnesses, the police recovered 52 grams of MD powder worth ₹2.6 lakh, along with three mobile phones valued at ₹60,000, a Mahindra Scorpio worth ₹12 lakh, and an Activa moped worth ₹1 lakh — bringing the total seizure value to ₹16.25 lakh.


A case has been registered at Manakapur Police Station under Sections 8(c), 22(c), and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Further investigation into the drug network is underway.
