Thieves Steal Gold Ornaments Worth ₹4.88 Lakh from Locked Railway Quarter in Ajni, Nagpur

Nagpur: A burglary has been reported from the Ajni Railway Quarters in Ajni where gold jewellery worth ₹4.88 lakh was stolen while the homeowners were away.


According to the police, the incident took place between 7:00 am on June 7 and 12:30 pm on June 8at Quarter No. 165/M near Durga Mata Mandir, Ajni. The complainant, Satish Baijulal Shendre (46), had locked his house and left with his family to visit relatives in Rajnandgaon, Madhya Pradesh. During their absence, unidentified thieves broke the lock and latch of the main door, entered the house, and stole gold ornaments kept inside two wardrobes in the bedroom.


A case has been registered at Ajni Police Station under Sections 305(a), 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.
