Nagpur: Kalamna Police have registered a burglary case after unidentified thieves allegedly broke into a warehouse and stole goods worth more than Rs 11 lakh in Nagpur.
The complainant, Rahul Jaychand Batra (45), a resident of Batra House in Old Bhandara Road area, owns a warehouse operating under the name Rahul Ceramic Pvt. Ltd. on Dalmill Road, Chikhli, within the Kalamna police station jurisdiction.
According to police, the theft occurred between 8.30 pm on May 27 and 10.30 am on May 28, 2026. The unidentified accused allegedly gained entry into the warehouse by removing tin sheets from the second-floor roof before entering the premises.
Once inside, the burglars reportedly stole a large quantity of agricultural-use taps of various MB models, along with household-use CG and MB model taps and fittings. The total value of the stolen goods has been estimated at approximately Rs 11,39,710.
Following the complaint lodged by Batra, Kalamna Police registered a case against unknown persons under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita relating to housebreaking and theft.
Police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage and other evidence to identify and trace the culprits.
