Nagpur: A 60-year-old man was seriously injured after a speeding car rammed his scooter near the Gorewada Zoo gate on Katol Road within the Gittikhadan Police Station limits on October 22, 2025, around 8:30 am.

The injured, identified as Vijay Pandey (60), resident of Plot No. 7, Netaji Housing Society, Manakapura, Nagpur, was riding his Bajaj Chetak (MH-31 FW 7298) towards Mahrurzhari when a black Keta car (MH-12 UM 0088), driven at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner, crashed into his two-wheeler. Pandey sustained a severe head injury and was rushed to Sims Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

Following a complaint filed by Prajkta Vijay Pandey (32) and based on the medical legal case (MLC) report, Gittikhadan Police have registered an offence under Sections 281, 125(A), 125(B) of the BNS, read with Section 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigations are on.
