Nagpur: The Railway Protection Force of Central Railway’s Nagpur Division demonstrated exemplary professionalism and compassion on November 24, 2025, by safely reuniting a woman and her daughter with their family after they alighted from a train at Nagpur station following a domestic disagreement.

A ‘Rail Madad’ message was received by the Security Control Room at around 02:30 hrs, reporting that the wife and daughter of a passenger travelling on Train No. 12869 had deboarded at Nagpur station.

Acting immediately upon the complaint, RPF personnel swung into action. CCTV footage was reviewed, which showed the woman and child getting off at Platform No. 06 and proceeding towards Platform No. 08. The staff deployed at Platform No. 08 quickly traced them near the Booking Office gate.

During inquiry, it was revealed that a personal disagreement between the husband and wife had led the woman to alight from the train at Nagpur.

Both parties were brought to the RPF Post, where the matter was examined by the Sub-Inspector. After verifying their identification documents and ensuring that the husband and wife reached a mutual understanding, the woman and her daughter were safely handed over to the husband/father.

This swift and humane intervention by the RPF Nagpur Division not only prevented a potential family crisis but also underscored the promptness, sensitivity, and dedication of the Railway Protection Force.
