Nagpur: A 33-year-old man has been booked after a 35-year-old pregnant woman allegedly caught him secretly photographing her under her dress while she was shopping at a mall in Sitabuldi, Nagpur, on Sunday evening.

The accused has been identified as Rahul Dudhram Uke (33), a native of Gondia who is currently residing on rent in the Hingna area of Nagpur.

According to the complaint registered at Sitabuldi Police Station, the woman was at Mr DIY Mall on the first floor of Eternity Mall at Variety Square around 7.30 pm on July 26. She was reportedly looking at toys for a child when the accused allegedly approached her from behind.

Police said Uke allegedly crouched behind the woman and placed his mobile phone underneath her dress before secretly clicking obscene photographs. The act allegedly caused the woman severe embarrassment and violated her dignity.

The woman, who is pregnant, subsequently approached the police and lodged a complaint against the accused.

Based on her complaint, Sitabuldi police registered a case under Sections 77 and 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police are investigating the allegations and examining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
