Nagpur: Acting on a tip-off about an illegal hookah parlour operating in Ramnagar Chowk, Ambazari Police carried out a midnight raid under Operation Thunder 2.0 at the “Tamasha Café” located in Bhagwati Heights building.

During the operation, police detained 10 persons including 2 waiters, 1 cook, and 6 customers. Officials also seized hookah pots, smoking pipes, flavour boxes, and other material worth ₹15,500.

According to police, the raid was conducted following credible information received during night patrolling on September 27. Acting swiftly, the police team along with independent witnesses entered the premises and exposed the illegal activity.

Nagpur Police have reiterated that strict action will continue against such unlawful establishments and urged citizens to immediately share any information about illegal activities with the police.
