This Oxygen Bird Park, brought to life under Shri Nitin Gadkari's vision and with the support of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), is located along the Nagpur-Hyderabad National Highway (NH-44). Developed over an area of approximately 20 acres at a cost of ₹14.32 crore, the park is designed to serve not just as an oxygen-producing space but also as a vital sanctuary for a variety of bird species. Special fruit-bearing trees have been planted to cater specifically to the needs of birds.
The park's importance goes beyond its role as an oxygen zone. With over 8,104 types of plants spread across 11 hectares, it is set to become a shelter for numerous bird species. The project also includes natural ponds to enhance the ecological balance of the area.
In addition to its environmental benefits, the Oxygen Bird Park offers a variety of facilities for visitors, including a food court, restrooms, walking paths, jogging and cycling tracks, watchtowers, an amphitheater, and a dedicated play area for children. The park’s entrance features an attractive architectural design, adding to its aesthetic appeal. The garden is also enriched with various fruit-bearing trees such as jamun, mango, guava, bel, tamarind, fig, khirni, peepal, custard apple, and amla, which are reserved specifically for the birds.
