Nagpur: A theft of ₹1 lakh in cash was reported from an office in Pratapnagar area where unidentified burglars broke in by tampering with the locks and glass panes.

The complainant, Pramod Dhamodarrao Dhakate (51), resident of Mankapur, owns an office named “Shree Computer System” at Chhatrapati Chowk, which manages electricity billing services. He had locked the office at 7:00 pm on July 22 and returned the next morning around 10:30 am to discover the theft.

Burglars had broken the main lock and removed the wooden door’s glass panel to gain entry, and fled with ₹1,00,000 kept in a drawer.

Pratapnagar Police registered a case under BNS Sections 305(A), 331(3), and 331(4) against unknown accused. Pratapnagar Police are conducting further investigation.
