Nagpur: Tehsil Police Arrest Two, Seize Country-Made Pistol and Live Rounds Worth ₹1.41 Lakh

Nagpur: Acting on a tip-off, a joint team from Tehsil Police Station and Zone-3 Crime Branch arrested two men and recovered a country-made pistol, eight live cartridges, and a two-wheeler worth a total of ₹1.41 lakh during a late-night operation near Indora Maidan City Bus Stop on the road from Teen Nal Chowk on Thursday.


According to officials, the action was taken under the supervision of DCP Zone 3. The accused have been identified as Ishan Govind Chandra Jasanani (36), a resident of Kamal Pool Chowk, Jari Patka, and Imran Khan Mohammad Kadir Khan (25), a resident of Roshan Bagh, Khairbi, Wathoda.


Police seized:


  • One country-made pistol with magazine, valued at approximately ₹80,000
  • An extra magazine worth ₹5,000
  • Eight live cartridges, valued at ₹16,000
  • A Honda Activa moped (MH-31-ET-4015) worth ₹40,000


The operation was initiated after Police Sub-Inspector Kunal Korche, attached to Zone-3 team, received confidential information about the suspects. Officers intercepted the accused and found the weapon and ammunition hidden in the moped’s storage compartment.


A case has been registered under Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act, along with Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act, at Tehsil Police Station, Nagpur City (Crime No. 704/25).


Senior Police Inspector of Tehsil Police Station stated that further investigation is underway to trace the source of the weapon and ascertain whether the accused are linked to any larger criminal network.
