Nagpur: The National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, has achieved a major milestone by winning the esteemed Stevie International Award in Istanbul, a press released stated on Thursday, January 16. Recognized globally for celebrating excellence in the workplace, the Stevie Awards highlighted NADP’s nearly five decades of dedication to innovation and capacity building within the defence sector.
Judges commended NADP for its impactful course curriculum and its significant contributions to strengthening India’s defence capabilities. The academy’s collaborations with premier institutions such as IIM Indore and IIM Nagpur were noted as enhancing the quality and credibility of its programs. NADP’s innovative approach to Defence Production Management and its commitment to fostering Atma Nirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) have solidified its position as a key think tank in defence manufacturing and innovation.
In addition to its legacy, NADP is set to introduce a state-of-the-art module for the Hybrid Executive MBA Program at IIM Visakhapatnam. Approved by the Department of Defence Production, this program aims to cater to Defence PSUs and the private sector, further reinforcing NADP’s role in transforming the defence training landscape.
With accreditation from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and the Capacity Building Commission, NADP has trained over 20,000 officers in various defence-related cadres. It is also the first institute in India to offer a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) focused on Defence. Its accolades include the Golden Peacock Training Award and recognitions for educational excellence.
