Nagpur: To make MSEDCL's operations more transparent and efficient, Director (Operations & Projects) Sachin Talewar has issued important directives to officials in the Nagpur circle. He urged them to not only focus on electricity bill collection but also to prioritize providing new connections to customers in a simple and easy manner. Additionally, he directed that 'ToD' (Time of Day) meters be installed in all government offices as soon as possible.
These instructions were given by Talewar during a review meeting of the technical, accounting, and human resources departments of the Nagpur circle on Saturday (September 13). During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of increasing the number of customers who pay their bills. He also instructed officials to regularly analyze payment receipts and prioritize reducing outstanding dues based on a detailed analysis of the arrears.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Dilip Dodke, Superintending Engineers Amit Paranjpe, Sanjay Wakade, Mangesh Vaidya, General Manager (Finance & Accounts) Atul Raut, Assistant General Manager (Human Resources) Mahesh Jadhav, along with all the Executive Engineers of the circle.
During the meeting, Talewar reviewed several key issues. He directed the swift resolution of accident and compensation cases, as well as the prompt handling of customer complaints in accordance with the rules. He stressed the importance of prioritizing only essential tasks when preparing development plans. Furthermore, he instructed that criminal cases be immediately filed in instances of transformer theft and oil theft from transformers. He also reiterated the need for prompt delivery of new electricity connections to customers.
The meeting also included a detailed review of various topics, including: Demand and collection from Low Tension (LT) customers by division, Division-wise and category-wise collection versus total demand and revenue, Progress on replacing electricity meters for government customers, Progress on installing electricity meters for agricultural customers , Activities of divisional flying squads, Energy auditing, Pending new electricity connections, Division-wise electricity loss
