Nagpur: Panic gripped the Pardi area after a man allegedly murdered his father following a domestic dispute and later surrendered himself at the Pardi Police Station on Tuesday, October 28.

The accused has been identified as Pawan Aarmorikar alias Negi, a resident of the Bhandewadi area. According to police sources, Pawan had frequent altercations with his father over family-related issues. On the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, another heated argument broke out between them, during which Pawan reportedly attacked his father with a sharp-edged weapon, killing him on the spot.

Following the incident, Pawan went to the Pardi Police Station and confessed to the crime. Police have registered an offence of murder under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and placed him under arrest.

The body was sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigations are underway to ascertain the exact cause of the dispute and sequence of events leading to the murder.
