Equipping over 400 students with future-ready skills through hands-on STEM education
Nagpur, June 28, 2025 – GlobalLogic, a digital product engineering leader and a Hitachi Group company, today inaugurated Robo Shiksha Kendra, a cutting-edge STEM Innovation Lab at C. P. Berar High School, Nagpur. Implemented in collaboration with India STEM Foundation, this initiative is part of GlobalLogic’s flagship #EducateToEmpower CSR initiative. It is aimed at empowering students from underserved communities with equitable access to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and hands-on learning opportunities.
This initiative is envisioned to equip school students with critical future-ready skills. The newly launched STEM Innovation Lab in Nagpur is designed to offer immersive, experiential learning in emerging technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence, electronics, and coding. It will also support teacher capacity-building through structured training programs. The lab is expected to benefit over 400 students from classes 6th to 11th in its first phase, with the potential to reach ~ 500 students annually as part of its long-term vision.
Nagpur holds a strategic value for GlobalLogic. With its growing talent base, educational infrastructure, and rising importance in India’s broader tech landscape, the region aligns well with GlobalLogic’s long-term community engagement and workforce development goals. This initiative marks a key milestone in GlobalLogic’s commitment to fostering inclusive growth in high-potential regional hubs. In addition to community outreach, GlobalLogic is also exploring opportunities to strengthen its business footprint in the area, with the possibility of hiring over 400 employees in Nagpur over the next 2 years.
GlobalLogic has supported over 6 STEM Labs across India impacting over 4400 students nationwide. These initiatives promote 21st century skills such as critical thinking, innovation, creativity, collaboration and problem solving among students. Through partnerships with leading implementation agencies, GlobalLogic continues to scale its efforts across India, aligned with its long-term social impact vision.
The STEM Lab inauguration was attended by Mr. Manojkumar Panda, Curator - D, Raman Science Centre and planetarium, National Council of Science Museums(NCSM), along with the senior officials from GlobalLogic including Mr. Amit Kale, Associate Vice President – Engineering and Ms. Monika Walia, APAC Head of CSR along with Mr. Sudhanshu Sharma, Founder Director, India STEM Foundation.
