Nagpur: Ganeshpeth Police swiftly solved a robbery case and arrested one accused within hours after a local tea vendor was attacked and robbed near Mokshdham Chowk on the night of October 13.

Complainant Kamlesh Anil Dubey (32), a resident of Rameshwari, was returning home on his bicycle after shutting his tea stall at the District Compound. Around 11:45 pm, three unidentified men on a moped intercepted him near Mokshdham Chowk, assaulted him, and snatched ₹1,200 cash at knifepoint before fleeing.

Following the complaint, police registered an offence under Sections 309(4) and 3(5) of the IPC. Acting swiftly, police laid a trap and arrested Aman Santosh Kalinatha (24), a resident of TB Ward Quarters near Medical Square, Imamwada.

During interrogation, Aman confessed to committing the robbery along with two accomplices who are currently absconding. A search has been launched to trace the remaining accused. Further investigation is in progress.
