Nagpur: In a decisive move to curb rising criminal activity and ensure public safety, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) Niketan B. Kadam has issued externment (hudyapar) orders against seven repeat offenders involved in serious crimes across multiple police jurisdictions in Nagpur city.

The individuals externed include:

1. Sabuddin alias Sabu Samsuddin Pathan (46), Tambaku Oli, Old Kamptee

2. Laxmi Vijay Dongre (36), Kumbhare Colony, New Kamptee

3. Ritesh Digambar Meshram (40), Bhimnagar, New Kamptee

4. Sangeeta Santosh Verma (35), Devi Nagar, Wanjara

5. Latabai Pravin Gedam (42), Gulmohar Nagar, Kalamna

6. Pratibha Santosh Yanchalwar (45), Gondpura, Bhandewadi

7. Sushila alias Bhuri alias Nagin Chandekar (40), Santrawadi, Kalamna

These individuals were involved in a range of serious criminal offences including intimidation, assault, attempted murder, unlawful assembly, possession of deadly weapons, violation of prohibitory orders, and illegal sale of narcotics and liquor (both domestic and foreign). Despite repeated preventive action, their criminal behavior showed no signs of reform, prompting police to initiate externment proceedings.

DCP Kadam passed orders on August 6, 2025, under relevant legal provisions, ordering their removal from the limits of Nagpur city and rural areas including Kanhan, Mauda, and Khaparkheda police station jurisdictions. The duration of externment ranges from three months to one year, depending on the severity of each case.

The orders were executed on August 7, 2025, under the guidance of DCP Kadam and ACP Vishal Kshirsagar, with coordination from senior police inspectors Pravin Kale (Kalamna), Mahesh Andhale (New Kamptee), Nanda Mangate (Pardi), and PSI Milind Meshram (Old Kamptee).

This action aims to restore peace and instill a sense of safety among residents in the affected areas.
