Nagpur: A house burglary was reported in the Pachpaoli police station limits, where unidentified thieves broke into a residence and stole valuables worth Rs 2.49 lakh.

Police said the incident occurred on April 10, 2026, between 10:30 am and 2:00 pm at a house located in Plot No. 182, Jaybhim Park, near Rohit Stores in Siddharth Nagar.

The complainant, Satyabhama Ramesh Gajbhiye (60), had gone to work, while her son had locked the house and left for a library. During this time, unknown accused broke open the main door lock and latch to gain entry.

The burglars ransacked the house and stole Rs 1,500 in cash along with gold and silver ornaments kept in an iron cupboard.

Based on the complaint, Sub-Inspector Kunal Shedmake registered a case against unknown accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Police have launched a search operation and further investigation is in progress.
