The action follows a major burglary reported on October 8, 2025, at Vasant Nagar Main Road, Ajni. Complainant Subhash Harichandra Raibole (57) was asleep at his residence when unidentified burglars entered through an open door and decamped with ₹2.58 lakh in cash, five gold coins, assorted gold and silver jewellery, and a mobile phone — together valued at ₹20.62 lakh. Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to the Ajni burglary and also admitted involvement in five additional theft and vehicle theft cases — one each under Hudkeshwar and Ramnagar (Chandrapur) Police Stations and two under Hinganghat Police limits.

Police seized ₹14,500 in cash, gold and silver ornaments, two mopeds, and four mobile phones, cumulatively valued at ₹18.61 lakh. The accused have been handed over to Ajni Police for further legal proceedings.

The operation was executed under the supervision of Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravindra Singhal, Joint CP Navin Chandra Reddy, Addl.
