Burglary Case Registered in Wathoda After Cash, Gold Worth Rs 3.66 Lakh Stolen

Nagpur: Wathoda Police have registered a burglary case against an unidentified accused after cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 3.66 lakh were stolen from a locked house in Bahadura area of Nagpur.


According to police, the incident took place between 9 pm on April 29 and 2.30 am on April 30 at Plot No. 48, Teacher Colony, Krishnanagari, Bahadura.

Complainant Reena Lalbahadur Vishwakarma (26) had locked her house and gone to visit a friend in Manish Nagar. During her absence, an unknown thief allegedly broke open the main door lock, entered the house and stole Rs 2.70 lakh in cash along with various gold ornaments kept inside a wooden cupboard in the bedroom.


Based on the complaint, Wathoda Police registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against an unidentified accused.

The investigation is underway and police are searching for the suspect.
