Nagpur: Tehsil Police have registered a burglary case after unidentified thieves stole copper wires worth over ₹5.65 lakh from the storage facility of a private engineering company at Mayo Hospital.
According to the complaint lodged by Saurabh Pravin Likhare (35), a resident of Balaji Heights, Swavalambi Nagar, who works as a project manager with Gentek Engineering Services, the company has been carrying out electrical fitting works at Mayo Hospital.
On September 1, 2025, around 10 am, a stores executive informed him about irregularities at the administrative building store. Upon inspection, it was discovered that between August 25 and September 1, unidentified burglars had broken into the godown and stolen 32 bundles of 6 mm copper wire, 28 bundles of 4 mm copper wire, and 2 bundles of 2.5 mm copper wire, collectively valued at ₹5,65,280.
Based on his complaint, Tehsil Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the BNS against unknown accused. The investigation is being conducted by PSI Sushant Bhagat. Further probe is underway.
