Nagpur: Unidentified burglars broke into a house in Bahadura, Maa Sharda Nagar, and decamped with valuables worth ₹3.85 lakh while the residents were away for medical treatment. The incident occurred between 7:30 pm on November 24 and 8:30 am the next morning within the jurisdiction of Sakkardara Police Station.
Complainant Govindrao Dulichand Patle (42) had locked his residence at Plot No. 27 before leaving for Lata Mangeshkar Hospital along with his relatives. As they stayed overnight at a relative’s house, the property remained unattended.
Taking advantage of the situation, burglars allegedly broke open the main door lock, entered the house and stole ₹20,000 in cash along with gold and silver ornaments kept in the bedroom cupboard. The total loss has been estimated at ₹3,85,000.
Based on Patle’s complaint, Sakkardara Police registered a case under Sections 305(A), 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Further probe is underway to identify the culprits.
