Maharashtra BJP Chief Responds Strongly to Uddhav Thackeray’s Criticism

Nagpur: Maharashtra BJP President and Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not against Muslims but opposes those who reside in India and wave Pakistan’s flag here, on Thursday, March 27.

Emphasizing Hindu-Muslim Unity:

Speaking to the media, Bawankule said, “Pakistan’s flags were seen at Uddhav Thackeray’s rallies in Nashik and Parbhani. We strongly oppose such actions. Similarly, we are against those who celebrate Pakistan’s cricket victories by bursting firecrackers while living in India. However, not all Muslims are against us. In Maharashtra, Hindus and Muslims share a bond of unity, and the BJP is committed to taking everyone along.”

Thackeray Should Focus on Strengthening His Party:

Targeting Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, Bawankule remarked, “Uddhav Thackeray has no political future, which is why he constantly criticizes Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Instead of attacking others, he should focus on strengthening his party in Maharashtra. After the Lok Sabha elections, BJP is working at the grassroots level to expand its presence. On the other hand, leaders and workers from Thackeray’s party are leaving. Instead of criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, Thackeray should introspect on why his party members are quitting.”

Strengthening Social Harmony:

Bawankule highlighted the BJP’s commitment to fostering social unity, stating that PM Narendra Modi extended Eid greetings to the nation and that the BJP’s minority wing will launch the ‘Saugat-e-Modi’initiative during Ramadan. “Such efforts promote brotherhood, unity, and peace, contributing to national stability,” he added.
