Nagpur: In a commendable display of bravery under “Operation Jeevan Rakshak”, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Nagpur Post saved the life of a woman passenger at Nagpur Railway Station on Saturday, June 28.

The incident took place at Platform No. 4 around 18:00 hrs, when Train No. 12136 Nagpur–Pune Express was departing. RPF Constable Dheeraj Dalal, who was on duty, noticed a woman rushing down from the foot overbridge and attempting to board the moving train. In the process, she lost her balance and was about to slip into the gap between the train and the platform.

Demonstrating exceptional alertness and quick reflexes, Constable Dheeraj Dalal immediately ran towards her and pulled her away from danger, thus averting a potentially serious accident.

The passenger expressed her sincere gratitude to the RPF and Constable Dalal for the timely assistance, stating that the swift action prevented what could have been a life-threatening mishap.

This brave and selfless act exemplifies the dedication and vigilance of RPF personnel in safeguarding railway passengers and reinforces their unwavering commitment to safety under Indian Railways.
