Nagpur: A 77-year-old man was found dead in a well near Buddha Vihara in Bharat Town, Yerakheda, under New Kamptee Police Station limits here, on Thursday, July 10..

The deceased, identified as Abdul Ghaffar Abdul Hafeez, was discovered floating in the well between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm.

Locals helped retrieve the body and rushed him to the Sub-District Hospital in Kamptee, where doctors declared him brought dead. Based on the statement of Tabassum Parveen Jau Jalil Ali (32), a resident of Bharat Town, a case of accidental death has been registered at New Kamptee Police Station by PSI Tiwari.

Further investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
