Nagpur: Futala Lake, one of the city’s prime tourist spots, known for its scenic beauty, has recently turned into a hotspot for unruly activities. In a shocking incident, two young men were caught on camera causing chaos inside an IAF helicopter exhibit set up as a selfie point. The video went viral on social media, sparking outrage.

The incident has raised concerns about the lack of administrative vigilance at the popular site. Despite being designated as a key tourism destination, the area shows signs of neglect. Several structures have fallen into disrepair, rust has accumulated on installations, and sculptures are either broken or missing.

The condition of beautification efforts is alarming. The ticket counters and the Indian Air Force helicopter exhibit are covered in dust, while garbage, discarded liquor bottles, and wrappers litter the surrounding area.

A defence official expressed disappointment, stating, “This is sad. Children should be educated. These are national assets. It is the responsibility of everyone to maintain them. A more responsible act is expected from the youth of Nagpur.”

The incident has prompted calls for stricter maintenance measures and enhanced security to preserve Futala Lake’s reputation as a prime tourist destination.
