Nagpur: Vinayak Mahamuni has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nagpur Zilla Parishad, succeeding Saumya Sharma. Sharma has been transferred to the position of CEO for Nagpur Smart City.

The appointment comes in the wake of recent tensions within the Zilla Parishad, where Sharma faced criticism from the ruling party and threats of a no-confidence motion during the last three general meetings. Mahamuni, who previously served as the Deputy Collector of Nandurbar, now steps into this crucial role, replacing Sharma at a time of significant administrative challenges.
