Thieves Decamp With Cash, Gold Worth Rs 5.29 Lakh From Hingna House

Nagpur: Unknown burglars broke into a locked house in Hingna police station limits and stole cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 5.29 lakh, police said.


According to police, complainant Jaya Ishwar Mate (31), a resident of Ward No. 15, Plot No. 689, Dhangarpura, had locked her house and gone to her maternal home in Sai Nagar, Wadi with her family.


The theft took place between 6.30 pm on April 22 and 3.30 pm on April 23.


Lock Broken, Valuables Stolen


Police said unidentified thieves broke the main door lock, entered the house and stole:


  • Rs 1,90,000 cash
  • Gold jewellery and ornaments


The total estimated loss is Rs 5,29,500.


Case Registered, Probe On


Hingna Police have registered a case against two unknown accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.


Police are scanning CCTV footage and investigating the burglary.
