Nagpur: The Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Nagpur Crime Branch busted an alleged prostitution racket operating under the guise of a spa and massage centre at Magic Krish Spa & Salon in Gopal Nagar on Thursday, rescuing two women and booking the spa operator.
The raid was carried out at around 3:35 pm on July 9 at Magic Krish Spa & Salon, located at Plot No. 11, Third Bus Stop, Gopal Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station.
Based on a tip-off, officials from the Social Security Branch conducted a decoy operation with the help of two independent witnesses and a bogus customer. During the raid, police found that the spa operator was allegedly forcing women into prostitution by luring them with promises of quick and higher earnings while arranging customers for them.
The accused has been identified as Somesh Rajesh Mandale (30), a resident of Hill Top, Pandhrabodi, near Kali Mata Temple, University Campus, Nagpur.
Police rescued two women from the premises during the operation.
A case has been registered at Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station under Crime No. 410/2026 under Sections 143(2) and 143(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.
