Nagpur: Sadar police busted an illegal hookah parlour operating in the Mount Road area and registered a case against two persons during a late-night raid on March 13.

Acting on a tip-off, a team from Sadar police station conducted a raid around 11 pm at Downtown Hookah Parlour, located in Buti Compound. During the operation, the police found the parlour owner Gaurav Shriram Bokde (33), a resident of Gyaneshwarnagar on Manewada Road, and Paresh Madan Sorte (19), a resident near Nikas Mandir in Lakadganj, allegedly serving hookah to customers.

Police seized hookah pots, flavoured tobacco and related materials collectively valued at ₹11,000 from the premises. A case has been registered against both accused under relevant provisions of law.

Further investigation is underway.
