Rana Pratap Nagar Bar owner targeted for weekly extortion in Nagpur

Nagpur: A Pratap Nagar bar was allegedly threatened and extorted by a criminal demanding monthly protection money.
According to police sources, Yash Rai, who runs a bar at Mangalmurti Square, reported that Mohit Pancheshwar and two accomplices visited his establishment on March 2. The accused allegedly demanded ₹10,000 per month to allow the bar to operate and fled after threatening Roy and forcibly taking liquor worth ₹2,400 along with cash.
Police from Pratap Nagar police station arrested Mohit, who had recently been released on bail. He has been remanded back to jail, and action under the MPDA Act is likely.
