NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for compassion towards students accused of allegedly abusing him during the Jantar Mantar protest has sparked a fresh political debate

Reacting to the Prime Minister's remarks, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke questioned whether the message of forgiveness would translate into action beyond public statements. Dipke suggested that if the government truly believes in compassion, it should ensure that students are not subjected to harsh legal consequences for their actions.
