Nagpur: A 24-year-old man was arrested by Pardi police for allegedly stalking and molesting a married woman after she rejected his friendship proposal here, on Sunday, March 23.

The accused, Rohit Rajesh Ghagre (24), a resident of Pardi, Nagpur, had reportedly been following the 29-year-old victim and persistently pressuring her to befriend him. When the woman refused his advances, Ghagre forcibly entered her house around 1:30 pm on March 23 and allegedly misbehaved with her.

Victim’s Husband Also Threatened:

The woman alleged that Ghagre acted in an obscene manner, causing her distress and embarrassment. Additionally, he verbally abused and threatened to harm her husband.

Following the victim’s complaint, Pardi police registered a case under sections 74, 75(2), 78(2), 79, 333, 351(3), and 352 of the BNS, and subsequently arrested the accused.
