Nagpur: House Burgled in Wathoda; Gold Ornaments and Cash Worth ₹2.47 Lakh Stolen

Nagpur, June 16, 2025: A case of house-breaking has been registered at Wathoda Police Station after unidentified burglars looted valuables worth ₹2.47 lakh, including gold ornaments and cash, from a locked house in Birsa Nagar, Dighori.


The complainant, Arunrao Laxmanji Patil (58), had locked his residence (Plot No. 126) and gone to visit his father-in-law’s house in the same locality on June 15 between 1 am and 4 am. During this time, unidentified thieves broke the main door lock, entered the bedroom, and looted ₹7,000 in cash and gold jewellery stored in a wooden cupboard.


Based on the complaint, PSI Gundewar of Wathoda Police Station registered an offence against unidentified persons under Sections 305(A) and 331(4) of the BNS. Investigations are ongoing to trace the accused.
