Nagpur: The Pachpaoli Police have exposed a series of vehicle thefts by apprehending two juveniles responsible for stealing four two-wheelers from different areas of the city.
The case began on January 13, 2026, when complainant Arti Nishant Shahu (32), a resident of Om Sai Nagar, Kalamna, reported that her Honda Activa (MH 49 T 5696), valued at ₹25,000, was stolen from a parking area in Vaishali Nagar between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Based on her complaint, Pacchpavli Police registered a case under Section 303(2) of the BNS.
Technical investigation led police to two juveniles in conflict with the law. Both confessed to stealing the Activa and, during deeper interrogation, admitted involvement in three additional thefts. These included an Activa (MH 31 EH 8565) worth ₹15,000 from Pacchpavli limits, another Activa (MH 40 CF 8214) worth ₹50,000 from Ajni area, and a Hero Splendor (MH 31 FT 5762) worth ₹60,000 stolen from the MIDC police station limits.
In total, four stolen two-wheelers worth nearly ₹1,50,000 have been recovered. Further investigation is underway to determine if the juveniles were involved in more thefts.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Police Commissioner Ravinder Kumar Singal, Joint CP Navinchandra Reddy, Additional CP (North Region) Rajendra Dabhade, DCP Rahul Madne (Zone 3), and ACP Swaprasad Parve (Lakadganj Division).
The action team included PI Baburao Raut, PI Yunus Sheikh, PSI Ranjit Majgaonkar, and staff members Ravindra Raut, Mukesh Yadav, Sushil Revatkar, Rajkumar Pal, Amit Thakur, Yunus Khan, and Padmakar Uke.
