Nagpur: A 27-year-old guitar teacher from Civil Lines, identified as Sagar Singh Parosia, has been arrested by Sonegaon Police for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl at his music academy in Ujjwal Nagar. Police said the accused not only brandished a gun during the assault but also threatened to kill the minor’s parents if she resisted.

The victim had enrolled in guitar classes at Rockstar Academy, located on the third floor of Sunshine Apartment, Ujjwal Nagar, about two months ago. Initially, Parosia — also known as Samsung — behaved normally. However, police said he soon began making inappropriate advances towards her.

On July 23, 2025, between 4 pm and 6 pm, Parosia allegedly called the victim, warning that he would kill her parents if she did not reach the class within ten minutes. When she arrived, he allegedly showed her a gun and a knife before forcing her into his flat at Sunshine Apartment, where he committed the assault.

Investigators said the accused continued to summon the girl to his flat on multiple occasions, using weapons to threaten her and coercing her into physical relations. He allegedly warned he would murder her mother, and father if she refused.

Based on the victim’s detailed statement, a case has been registered under Sections 64 and 351(3) of BNS, Sections 4 and 6 of POCSO Act, and Section 4/25 of the Arms Act. During a search at the accused’s residence, police also recovered a sword.

The Sonegaon Police team successfully traced and arrested the accused, who has been remanded to custody for further investigation.
