Nagpur: Assistant Police Inspector (API) Shivaji Laxman Nanaware from Nagpur City Police has achieved a rare feat by successfully scaling four of the world’s highest peaks — including Mount Everest (8,848.86 m), Makalu (8,485 m), Manaslu (8,163 m), and Lhotse (8,516 m).
With this remarkable achievement, Nanaware has become the only police officer in India to have climbed four mountains above 8,000 metres. His extraordinary mountaineering accomplishment has now been officially recognized and recorded in the prestigious ‘India Book of Records 2025’.
To honour his achievement, Commissioner of Police Ravindra Kumar Singal (IPS), Joint Commissioner of Police Nawin Chand Reddy, Additional Commissioner of Police Ravindra Singh Pardeshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Makanikar, Assistant Commissioner of Police Dr. Abhijit Patil, and Police Inspector Rahul Shire from the Social Security Department felicitated API Nanaware and extended their congratulations.
