Nagpur: Two unidentified men allegedly attempted to break into a gym in Arya Nagar, Samta Nagar, under Jaripatka police station limits in the early hours of August 16 but fled after the owner and his wife noticed them.

The incident occurred around 3.30 am, when Sandeep Ravindra Sarojkar (34), an Uber driver who lives on the first floor of the building, was asleep with his family. His gym operates on the ground floor.

According to the police complaint, Sarojkar's wife heard a suspicious noise while the couple was at home. They went to the balcony to check and allegedly spotted two youths aged around 20 to 25 years trying to break open the main door of the gym.

The suspects reportedly fled as soon as they realised they had been noticed. No property was stolen in the attempted break-in.

Sarojkar later approached Jaripatka police, following which a case was registered against the unidentified suspects under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and other applicable sections.

Police are investigating the attempted burglary and working to establish the identities of the suspects. CCTV footage and other technical evidence are being examined as part of the investigation.

No arrests have been made so far, and the identities and addresses of the two suspects remain unknown. Further investigation is underway.
