Nagpur: A 62-year-old woman died after the two-wheeler she was riding was hit by a speeding truck in Jaripatka police limits on August 4, 2025.

The deceased, Vimal Naresh Meghrajani, was riding pillion on an Activa scooter (MH-49-L-9439) with her husband Naresh Meghrajani (66) when an unidentified truck driver, allegedly speeding and driving recklessly, rammed into their vehicle near Khobragade Chowk.

The couple was rushed to Shantimohan Hospital, where Vimal was declared dead during treatment. Based on a complaint filed by their relative Vishal Chetaram Meghrajani (50), a resident of Kukreja Nagar, Jaripatka police registered a case against the unknown truck driver under BNS Sections 281, 106(1), 125(b) along with Sections 184, 134, and 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act. PSI Pawar is leading the investigation.
