Nagpur Company Store In-Charge Booked for Allegedly Misappropriating Iron Scrap Worth ₹38.38 Lakh

Nagpur: A store in-charge of a private warehousing company in Nagpur has been booked for allegedly misappropriating and selling iron scrap worth ₹38.38 lakh, causing significant losses to the company.


According to police, the complainant, Ganesh Shitalprasad Yadav (39), a company manager and resident of Ayodhya Nagar, lodged a complaint regarding the alleged fraud at Ultronix Warehousing 7 Pvt. Ltd.’s warehouse located at Survey No. 8, Mouza Linga-Dhamna, Amravati Road, Nagpur.


Police said the accused, Amrendra Kumar Yogendra Trivedi (61), a resident of Vishwavinayak Nagar in Isasani-Wagdhara under MIDC Police Station limits, was employed as the Store In-Charge at the same company.


During the period between January 5, 2026, and June 17, 2026, the accused allegedly sold the company’s iron scrap, valued at approximately ₹38,38,000, for personal gain and dishonestly misappropriated the proceeds. The seized material reportedly includes around 101.30 metric tonnes of iron scrap.


Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under Section 316(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for criminal breach of trust. Further investigation is underway.
