Nagpur City to Witness Multiple Rallies Against SC/ST Reservation Categorization on August 21
Nagpur: On August 21, 2024, several political parties and organizations have called for a nationwide bandh against the categorization of SC/ST reservations. In connection with this, various rallies will be held across Nagpur city, following the routes outlined below:
1. A rally will begin at Bhim Chowk, Indora, proceeding through Barakhola, Indora Maidan, Indora Chowk, Kamal Chowk, 1 Aulebabu Chowk, 10 Number Pul, Kadbi Chowk, and Gaddigo-dam Chowk, eventually culminating at LIC Chowk and Constitution Chowk.
2. Another rally will start from Jatatarodi Chowk, passing through Medical Chowk, Kida Chowk, Avari Chowk, Ashok Chowk, and Baidhnath Chowk, and will return to Medical Chowk.
3. A third rally will commence from Manewada Chowk and Shatabdi Nagar Chowk, moving via Ajni Railway Bridge, Kriplani Chowk, Rahate Colony Chowk, Lokmat Chowk, Variety Chowk, and Morris College T-Point, concluding at Constitution Chowk.
4. A rally originating from Ajni and Trisharan Chowk will travel through Medical Chowk, Baidhnath Chowk, Sardar Patel Chowk, Cotton Market Chowk, Manas Chowk, and Morris College T-Point, ending at Constitution Chowk.
5. A rally starting from Annabhau Sathe Chowk will proceed through Kriplani Chowk, Rahate Colony Chowk, Lokmat Chowk, Variety Chowk, and Morris College T-Point, reaching Constitution Chowk.
Given the likelihood of other rallies from different parts of the city, traffic department officials and enforcement personnel will be active at major intersections along these routes. Traffic may be diverted based on conditions, informed DCP Traffic Shashikant Satav.
Citizens are advised to avoid disruptions and choose alternative routes to mitigate inconvenience. The cooperation of all residents is requested to ensure smooth traffic flow and avoid congestion during their daily activities.
