Nagpur: A domestic dispute turned tragic in the Hingna area when a younger brother allegedly killed his elder brother during an argument. The incident occurred on September 2, 2024, between 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM, in Mandav Ghorad, Ward No. 2, Hingna, Nagpur.

According to the police, the victim, identified as Kisan Vinayak Choukhe (36), had been involved in a heated argument with his younger brother, Govind Vinayak Choukhe (25), over a family matter. The argument escalated when Govind, in a fit of anger, attacked Kisan, hitting him on the chest, abdomen, head, and back with his fists and kicks, leading to Kisan's death.

Initially, the incident was recorded as an accidental death at Hingna Police Station. However, during the investigation, it was revealed that the victim had been assaulted. Based on a complaint filed by their mother, Prabha Vinayak Choukhe (50), who resides in the same household, the police reclassified the case.

Hingna Police have registered a case against Govind under Section 103(1) of the BNS. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is ongoing.
