Israeli Consul General Visits Smruti Mandir in Nagpur, Briefed on RSS Legacy

Nagpur: Yavin Revach, Consul General of Israel, visited the Smruti Mandir Parisar at Reshimbag in Nagpur on Monday evening, where he was briefed on the historical, cultural and ideological significance of the memorial.


During the visit, Revach was given a detailed overview of the life and work of Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). He was also informed about the role of Smruti Mandir as a centre of inspiration and guidance for millions of swayamsevaks and followers across the country.


Sources said the Israeli Consul General showed keen interest in understanding the organisational journey of the RSS and its various social initiatives undertaken over the decades. He interacted with office-bearers and sought insights into the Sangh’s contribution to nation-building and social service.


The visit was marked by a cordial atmosphere, reflecting mutual respect and cultural understanding. Rajesh Loya, Manniya Sanghchalak, Nagpur, along with Vikas Telang and other prominent office-bearers and functionaries, were present on the occasion and extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guest.


The visit is seen as a gesture of cultural exchange and dialogue, highlighting Nagpur’s importance as a city of historical and ideological significance.
