Nagpur: Drinking water supply in the Ashi Nagar Zone under the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has been disrupted after a 300 mm diameter pipeline was damaged during hydraulic drilling. The incident occurred when a vendor, while laying cables beneath the cement road near Tipu Sultan Square at PMAY, used an HDD machine that accidentally ruptured the pipeline.

Consequently, several areas serviced by the Binaki-I ESR are affected. These areas include Panday Wasti, Mehboobpura, Pravesh Nagar, Yogi Arvind Nagar, Sarwara Bad, Quarter, Sanjivini Hamid Nagar, Sangam Nagar, Pravesh Nagar, Yashodhara Nagar, Shivshakti Nagar, Pawan Nagar, Gareeb Nawaz Nagar, and Sangharsh Nagar. According to a release by Orange City Water (OCW), the water supply will remain interrupted until the repairs are completed.
