Nagpur: Panic gripped Civil Lines on Thursday evening when debris from Kukreja’s under-construction project ‘The One’ fell onto the roadside, damaging several parked vehicles. The incident occurred on July 31, sparking concerns over safety measures at high-rise construction sites in the city.

Eyewitnesses reported that chunks of material from the upper floors fell directly onto the vehicles below, causing significant damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

Residents and commuters have raised questions about the safety protocols and protective measures followed by the construction company. They have demanded that the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and local authorities inspect the site and ensure that similar incidents do not recur.

Authorities are expected to review construction safety compliance and consider action against negligence, if any, in the case.
