Nagpur: The MIDC Police have registered a case against a labourer for allegedly stealing electrical materials worth ₹4.5 lakh from an under-construction site in Jaytala. Complainant Sarthak Namdeo Sanap (24), a resident of Boys Hostel, Police Nagar, Nagpur, and currently employed as Head Engineer with Kedhareshwar Builders & Developers, noticed discrepancies in electrical fittings stock over the past several days.

On inspecting the construction site near Shri Shivgouri Residency, Pioneer Tulip, plots 7 and 8, Jaytala, he discovered that on February 24 between 10:00 am and 11:00 am, labourer Shubham Vijay Padoti (26), originally from Gondia and currently residing at the Jaytala labour site, had been caught stealing electrical wire bundles. The accused allegedly stole various wire bundles of Torrent and Polycab brands of different MM sizes, collectively valued at ₹4,50,000.

Based on the complaint, MIDC Police have registered an FIR under Sections 303(2) and 324(2) of the BNS, and further investigation is underway.
