Burglary at Yashodhara Nagar House; Cash and Valuables Worth ₹5.24 Lakh Stolen

Nagpur: A case of house burglary has been registered at Yashodhara Nagar police station after unidentified thieves broke into a locked house and decamped with cash and valuables worth over ₹5.24 lakh.


The incident took place between 7 pm on January 3 and 10.30 am on January 4, 2026, at Plot No. 259, Baba Diwan Layout, Nagpur. The complainant, Abu Taliv Nizamuddin Ansari (28), had locked his house and gone to Mominpura with his family to visit his mother.


During his absence, unidentified burglars allegedly broke open the main door lock, entered the house and stole ₹60,000 in cash, a mobile phone, and gold and silver ornaments kept in the bedroom cupboard. The total value of the stolen property is estimated at ₹5,24,800.


Following Ansari’s complaint, Yashodhara Nagar police registered a case under Sections 305(a), 331(3), and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against unknown accused. Further investigation is underway.
